Admission to all UG courses will be based on the marks obtained in lower qualifying exam. For PG courses also the admission will be on the basis of marks obtained in lower qualifying exam. However, for admission in M.Sc. Physics, M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Zoology and M.Sc. Bio-technology 50% weight-age is given to OCET exam conducted by Panjab University.

There are certain courses for which common admission will be done through DHE portal and college will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit. Such an admission falls under the category of centralized admission. The courses for which centralized admissions are done are B.B.A.-I/ B.C.A.-I/ B.Com.-I. Admission to all other courses like B.A I/ B.Sc I/ B.Sc Biotechnology (Hons.) I/ M.A/ M.Com/ M.Sc/ P.G Diplomas/ B.Voc along with all ongoing classes will be done at college level. Such admissions are non-centralized admissions.

The courses for which centralized admissions are done are B.B.A.-I/ B.C.A.-I/ B.Com.-I Centralized admissions are done through the DHE portal www.dhe.chd.gov.in and the process is common for all colleges. Details of registration and allotment in these courses will be available at www.dhe.chd.gov.in.
Student must upload necessary documents like certificate of lower qualifying exam, character certificate, class 10th certificate, and all other category certificates for which he/she aims to claim benefits. Student must also upload a recent passport size photograph.
Under the 3 year degree course the student gets a standard bachelor degree while in a 4 year degree course the student gets a bachelor degree with Honours. The 4 year degree also has the option of Honours with Research.
Candidates who have qualified their lower examination from a school/college located in Chandigarh as a regular student will fall under UT pool. All other students who have passed their lower examination from a school/college located outside Chandigarh or NIOS will fall under General pool(outside UT) . However, wards of defense personnel will fall under UT pool irrespective of above mentioned condition. 85% seats are reserved for UT pool.
To avail the U.T. Pool, the applicants must submit the proof of having completed 10+2/lower examination from schools/colleges situated in Chandigarh.

These are the subjects that the student wishes to pursue in his academic career. Student must choose 3 subjects from the combinations approved by the University.

SEC: Skill Enhancement Course is of 3 credits. Its aim is to impart practical skills, hands-on training, soft skills, etc., to enhance the employability of students.
VAC: Value-Added Course is a 2 credits course. It is designed to provide extra skills or knowledge beyond the standard curriculum, often tailored towards enhancing employability, promoting entrepreneurship, or developing personal and professional skills these boost practical and soft skills.
Sports quota seat can be claimed on the basis of sports gradation certificate issued by Sports Department Chandigarh Administration.

As per UGC guidelines and NEP 2020 policy implemented by Panjab University, the following two things should be kept in mind while choosing a MDC course:
· Should not be from subjects studied at 10+2 level.
· Cannot be one of the discipline specific core (major/minor) subjects.
SEC/VAC course choice in 3rd semester has to be different from those studied in 1st and 2nd semester. Refer to your academic record from Semesters I and II. If unsure, consult your department.

After the payment of admission fee the student is required to submit their Admission Application Form along with their documents and fee slip to the examination branch of the college.
Yes, It is mandatory to do an internship. In case a student exits the programme after 1 year then he needs to complete his internship after 1 year before he can be granted a UG certificate. In case a student decides to exit after 2 years then he must complete his internship after 2 year to be eligible for UG Diploma. For students pursuing the 3 year/ 4 year programme, the internship has to be done in the 5th semester of 3rd year.
Application fee is not the Admission fee. It is only for online submission of Admission Application Form. All admissions will be done on provisional basis. After allotment of seat the student has to pay his/her Admission Fee online. After proper verification of the Student documents, admission will be considered as confirmed.
The collegeis currently offering English and Hindi as MIL subject to a group having a minimum strength of 50 students.

In Semester III.
For all centralised courses the student has to apply on the Director Higher Education (DHE) portal only. After the selection process (college allotment and seat allotment) on DHE portal, the student will be directed to apply on the allotted college portal.

Minors & MDCs: Provide cross-functional skills
Single Major, Single/Double Minor : Focuses on one core subject with one or two additional minor subjects.
Multi-Disciplinary/interdisciplinary: Focuses equally on two major subjects and one minor.
