  • How do I get admission in particular course?
    You have to apply online for that. There are two types of admission process, one is for centralized courses and another is for non-centralised courses. For centralised courses the student has to apply first on the Chandigarh Higher Education site http://dhe.chd.gov.in/. You can then select the course of your choice and apply on our college portal. In non centralised courses the student has to apply on our admission portal i.e. admission.davchd.ac.in. In both cases the student will have to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria for that particular course at the time of admission.
  • What is the minimum percentage and last year cut off for a particular course?
    For minimum percentage and eligibility kindly refer to college prospectus in download section on admission page. The cut off varies every year as per the performance of students and the applications received. So all the best and wait for this years cut off list.
  • Is there any offline mode of admission?
    No . ( Subject to Covid-19 guidelines for admissions 2021-22)
  • What are the eligibility criteria of a particular course?
    Kindly visit courses menu under academic tab on davchd.ac.in or read our college prospectus available in the download section of admission page.
  • When will my seat be confirmed?
    All the admissions will be done on provisional basis. After selection the student has to pay his/her admission fee online and only after the proper verification of his/her documents his admission will be considered as confirmed.
  • Do I have to fill separate admission forms for applying in more than one course?
    Yes, you have to apply separate admission forms for applying in more than one course. (use different email id)
  • Do we need to submit the Application form in the college?
    After the payment of admission fee the student is required to submit their Admission Application Form along with their documents and fee slip to the examination branch of the college. (Decision to accept form at college is subject to Covid-19 guidelines for admissions 2021-22)
  • I had paid the Application fee, is my admission confirmed now?"
    All admissions will be done on provisional basis. After allotment of seat the student has to pay his/her Admission Fee online. After proper verification of the Student documents, admission will be considered as confirmed.
  • What is the application fee for any course?
    The application fee for each course is described in the prospectus.
  • What is the fee structure of a particular course?
    Kindly refer to the college prospectus or contact the college accounts section accounts@davchd.ac.in, phone 0172-2754400,2754401.
  • I have applied in one course but now I want to change it to another, what should I do?"
    You can change the stream or course only before the application fee payment is done. If the application fee has been paid then you have to reapply with a fresh application. For more details kindly contact the technical section of the college technical@davchd.ac.in, phone 0172-2754410,2754412
  • For centralised courses do I need to apply at the college portal (application form) also?
    For all centralised courses the student has to apply on the Director Higher Education (DHE) portal only. After the selection process (college allotment and seat allotment) on DHE portal, the student will be directed to apply on the allotted college portal.
  • Will there be an entrance test for any course in the college?
    No.
  • Do I need to submit my migration and character certificate along with the application form ?
    Yes.
  • I want to withdraw my seat, what should I do and how much amount will be deducted?"
    You have to apply for Refund Application Form available at admission portal or you may collect from the accounts section of the college. The amount will be deducted as per the refund policy available at college accounts section or send a mail to accounts@davchd.ac.in for more detailsa or call 0172-2754400.
  • What is the last date of application form?
    Please refer to important dates of the college admission portal.
  • I am facing some technical problem while applying, what should i do now?"
    Sorry for the inconvenience faced by you. Kindly read the Technical Issues section on the admission portal. If still not resolved then contact college helpdesk or mail at technical@davchd.ac.in
  • I want to migrate from another college in 2nd or 3rd year, what is the procedure for applying in the same?"
    Inter college migration is only allowed subject to the availability of seats/subjects in our college. You may contact the Dean admissions (sutapasaryal@gmail.com) for any further queries.
  • I want to migrate from another University in 2nd or 3rd year, what is the procedure for applying in the same?"
    You have to get an equivalence certificate from Panjab University first. You can then contact the Dean admissions (sutapasaryal@gmail.com).
  • Is there is any paid seat in particular Course?
    No, all the admissions are on merit or first come first serve basis. IF ANYONE IS ASKING FOR MONEY OR ANY KIND OF FAVOUR AGAINST ADMISSION THEN KINDLY GET IN TOUCH WITH THE AUTHORITIES OR SEND A MAIL AT principal@davchd.ac.in.
  • Is there any Fee concession for any reserved category?
    For details kindly read the prospectus or contact the college accounts section.
  • I am studying at a college in Punjab (affiliated to Panjab University) can I claim a seat under UT category or under General category?
