DAV College, Chandigarh ensures that all students, faculty, staff and officials treat one another with due respect and that the institution remains a healthy and safe seat of work and study bereft of any kind of sexual harassment unwelcome sexual advances requests for sexual favours and other visual verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. The college has constituted committee  against sexual harassment to deal with all such issue.


The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was enacted to ensure safe working spaces for women and to build enabling work environments that respects women’s right to equality of status and opportunity. This Act makes it mandatory for every institution to provide a mechanism to redress grievances pertaining to workplace sexual harassment and enforce the right to gender equality of working women.

Internal Complaints Committee ensures that the right of women as citizens to a workplace free of sexual harassment is protected through a fair, informed and user-friendly process of redress. The Internal Complaints Committee against Sexual Harassment has been constituted by the college.
