A 100 KW Solar plant was inaugurated at DAV College, Sec-10, Chandigarh on 14th March, 2022 by Sh. S.S. Gill, IAS, Secretary, Education, UT Chandigarh. He is an illustrious alumnus of DAV College. The Vice- president of DAV management Committee, Sh. H. R. Gandhar and Principal Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma welcomed the chief guest. A guard of honour by NCC cadets was followed by floral tribute to the martyrs by the chief guest. The setting up of this On Grid Solar plant is a step by the college towards conservation of resources by using renewable energy to meet the electricity demands of the college. The team of Dr Raman Soni, Dr Arti Arya and Dr Ravinder Choudhary have pioneered this endeavour to make our institution energy surplus through the use of renewable resources.
