Fresher’s Welcome Party 2023
Fresher’s Welcome party in any institution is a joyous occasion which every student eagerly awaits from the time of admission. The department of Computer Science & IT, DAV College, Chandigarh organized a Fresher’s Welcome party on 26th September,2023 to formally welcome new students and to introduce the new students to their seniors and to the members of the faculty. The event was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and lessons for a great and a successful academic career.
The chief Guest for the event, Prof Rita Jain, Principal, DAV College, Chandigarh welcomed the students and called upon them to set no limit to the attainment of knowledge and seek awareness of all that the outer world has to offer. She highlighted her commitment of ensuring best possible education and opportunities for the students so that they succeed in their chosen fields.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Minakshi Bharadwaj , head of the department,computer science and IT , welcomed the new students and called upon them to work hard consistently and have self belief. She asserted that there are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from unsuccessful attempts . She promised full and unequivocal help to the students for their academic and professional endeavours.
The event started with ramp walk round and self-introduction by each new student. The second round included exuberant dance performances, fun games for the audience, Q&A session ,solo song and dance. The students who exuded confidence and brought out their best during the ramp walk round were selected for the final round of the event. The event ended with crowning of Mr. and Miss Fresher who were selected on the basis of originality, confidence, styling and overall impression.
