Inter College Quiz on Ramayana and Mahabharata

The Path Seekers’ Society of DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh organised an Inter College Quiz Competition on India’s Greatest Epics, depicting the glorious history of Bharat, ‘Ramayana and Mahabharata’. More than 60 participants from 11 colleges of Chandigarh participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event was lit up by different cultural performances based upon the same theme. The competition comprised of a preliminary round and the mains round involving questions from current events relating to the epics as well. The auspicious occasion was graced by Sh. Lalan Baghel, Head of Philosophy Department, Punjab University, who embarked upon keeping ties with the rich cultural heritage of our own country. Guest of Honour, Sh. H.R. Gandhar, Vice President, DAV Management Committee and Honourable Principal, Professor Rita Jain, congratulated the team for organising such an event and wished well for their future endeavours. The first and second position was bagged by DAV College, Sector 10 while Govt. Education College, Sector 20 stood third. GGDSD, Sector 32 and SGGS, Sector 26 bagged the consolation prizes. Dr. Ghanshyam Dev, Incharge and distinguished guests for the day, Jitendra Singh and Anil Mehta felicitated all the winners. The entire event proved to be a learning and fun experience for all and was successful as any.
